UltraTech Cement, a leading cement manufacturer, has announced the commissioning of a new 1.8 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) cement capacity at Kotputli, Rajasthan. This development is a significant component of the company's extensive 22.6 MTPA capacity expansion project unveiled in June 2022. The new facility aims to enhance UltraTech's ability to serve the burgeoning demand in the Rajasthan and National Capital Region (NCR) markets effectively.

With this latest commissioning, UltraTech Cement's total grey cement manufacturing capacity in Rajasthan, including its wholly-owned subsidiary, has reached 18.9 MTPA. Moreover, this expansion elevates the company's overall grey cement manufacturing capacity in India to an impressive 137.39 MTPA, reinforcing its position as a dominant player in the cement industry.

This strategic move underscores UltraTech Cement's commitment to meeting the increasing construction material needs across India while supporting the country's infrastructure development ambitions.
